Area of the given figure
= area of 2 rectangles+ area of square
length of the rectangle = 10cm
breadth of the rectangle = 4cm
side of the square = 6cm

= 2(l×b) + a^2
= 2(10×4) + (6)^2
= 2×40 + 36
= 80+36
= 116 cm sq.
