My Hobbies
Good hobbies keep a man or woman creatively occupied. They not only keep boredom at bay, but also improve our skills and confidence. My parents instilled in me the importance of pursuing constructive hobbies since childhood. I have a few hobbies that I pursue in my leisure.
The hobby that I love the most is reading. Bacon said, “Reading maketh a full man; writing an exact man, and conference a ready man.” Reading is an essential basic skill building activity. One’s language fluency is determined by the quality of reading. Besides, vocabulary enrichment, ideas collection, familiarization with different types of writing formats, speaking fluency, etc., all depend upon reading. My this hobby has helped me a lot. I feel much more confident now. I do exceptionally well in written exams; group discussions, and elocution.
The second most favorite hobby of mine is meditation. I go into deep silence for 10 to 15 minutes and try to connect my being to the infinite powers of the universe. As a result I remain deeply peaceful, relaxed, and energized.
I am thankful to God for having blessed me with the most effective hobbies.
