I have a tough question from my genetics study problems that I just can't seem to work out. The question is as follows:
The concentration of the amino acid tryptophan in exponentially growing E. coli cells in glucose minimal media is 12 uM. Given E. coli is roughly a cylinder 1 um long and 0.5 um in diameter, what is the concentration of tryptophan in molecules per cell?
