How to calculate the opposing force on a ball of mass 30 grams which brings the ball to rest?

As we know, Acceleration is equal to the slope of the speed-time graph.So,acceleration , a = dvdt(slope of the graph)Take slope at point A and BSo, a = Vo−VA4−0 = 0−504 = − 12.5 m/s2As we know,Force = mass × accelerationmass of the object = 30 g = 0.03 KgSo ,Force = 0.03 × (−12.5) = −0.375 NThis is the opposing force which we need to stop the ball.Here −ve sign of the force signifies that force is opposite to the direction of motion
