The weight of concrete slab can be calculated by multiplying the volume of the given slab by the standard unit weight or density of concrete either in kg/Cu.m or in kN/Cu.m.

The volume of the concrete can be determine by simply multiplying the 3-dimensional (3D) parameters which include the length, the width and the height (depth or thickness) of the slab.

Thus; Vol.= L x B x H (Cu.m)

As dedeuced from several research and studies, the unit weight (Density) of concrete is given approximately as 2400kg/Cu.m or 24kN/Cu.m depending on the preferred choice of S.I unit.

Therefore; Weight of concrete = (Vol x 2400)kg
