it is simple. press the backdrop button near the sprites and then go to costumes of backdrop to add more backdrops

Click the selection tool in the Tools panel.
Click anywhere in gray workspace that surrounds the Stage.
The properties for the document will be displayed under Stage, by the Property Inspector.
Enter the size in pixels, like 700 in the Document Properties dialog box.
