For Example----
The king said,"Alas! I am ruined."
→The king exclaimed with sorrow that he was ruined.
Here in place of the exclamatory sentence we have used 'exclaimed with sorrow' because the sentence expresses sorrow. Similarly we can use- exclaimed with joy, exclaimed with wonder etc. according to the mood of the sentence. The rest part of the sentence is solved according to basic rules of Narration.
