Turn your PC on and keep clicking the ‘delete‘ key on your keyboard. This will take you to the bios.
Once in the bios, navigate to your CPU frequency. This looks different on certain motherboards, but on Gigabyte boards this can be found under the ‘M.I.T‘ section.
If the CPU Frequency is different to the turbo speed of your CPU, then the CPU has been overclocked. For example, if your CPU has a turbo speed of 4.4GHzbut your CPU Frequency is showing 4600MHz+ then your CPU is overclocked. This is because 4.4.GHzwould show as 4400Mhz.

Generic advice: when the computer boots, after you hear the POST beep press either 'del' or 'F2' to take you to the bios settings. From here look for properties with names 'base clock', 'multiplier', and 'CPU VCORE'. If they have been changed from their default values, then you are currently overclocked.
