draw a line segment

for example:- AB

take any measurement in a compass

keep it on point A if you want to construct 30° on A

make a semicircle to cut the line segment

now with same measurement keep the compass on the point where the arc cut the line segment

cut the arc

now join A to that point and extend it

this is 60°

now we keep our compass on the point of intersection on line segment...

we take more than half of measurement of the two intersections...and make an arc

now we keep the compass on point of intersection of arc with same measurement and cut the previously made arc...
