16x2 - 24x+5=0
to find its factors first of all multiply x2 coefficient and constant that is 16*5 =80.
now split coefficient of x such that when multiplied it gives you 80 and when added it gives the coefficient of x that is -24.
So ,-20,-4 are that numbers as
-20*(-4)=80 and -20+(-4)= -20-4= -24
so now we can write the equation as
16x2 -20x-4x+5=0
now take common from 16x2 and -20x and from -4x and 5 that is,
16x2 -20x-4x+5=0
4x(4x-5) -1(4x-5)=0
now taking (4x-5) common,
(4x-5)(4x-1)=0
so this is the method to convert any equation to its factors
