Answer:

Boric nitride is converted from boron precursors and urea at relatively low temperature.

Explanation:

The use of various types of boron precursors such as boric acid, boron trioxide is critically very important parameter to decide and control the boron nitride crystallinity and biodegradation rate. The boron precursors are suspended in ammonia and transferred in a silicon boat for further heating in an ammonia atmosphere with heating rate of 10°C/min at 1300°C for 1-4 hours. The silicon carbide boat is removed from furnace at temperature around 500°C and boron nitride is scratched from the surface of boat and stored at room temperature.
