Discontinuous class interval means frequency distribution is in inclusive form .
Hence to convert it into exclusive form ,subtract 0.5 from the lower limit of the class and add 0.5 to the upper limit of the class.

For example:-
Inclusive form - 10-17,18-25,26-33,34-41

Exclusive form - 9.5-17.5,17.5-25.5,25.5-33.5,33.5-41.5
