How to convert toluene to benzoic acid 2 chemistry?

You can either recrystallizes it with hot H2O, or can extract the Benzoic acid with ether. The reaction is simply oxidation where Methyl group sets converted to carboxylic group by use of pottasium permaganate as an oxidizing agent.
