Convince your dad that i will do better next time and tell him that i will make a time table and strictly follow it.
But still if your dad does not get convinced then...
Start getting serious towards your studies. Show him that i am very serious and start doing extra worksheets along with your other academic work.
He might say that now you are pretty serious about our acadamics, so now you continue you game.
And you can also tell him that basketball increases te concentration level.
