sigma bond joins side by side
pi bond joins parallel
or
overlapping of orbitals the orbitals merged to form cylindrical symmetrical region on the bond is called sigma bond

by lateral overlap of P orbitals Above and below the axis is called by Bond

First draw a structure of the element. And see the bonds between each atoms.

If 2 atoms are joined by single bond, it is sigma bond.
If 2 atoms are joined by double bond, there is 1 sigma and 1 pi bond.
If 2 atoms are joined by triple bond, there is 1 sigma and 2 pi bonds.

Calculate all sigma and pi bonds between each pair of atoms and add to get the total no of sigma and pi bonds.

Hope this helps,
Plz mark as brainliest if it helped.
Glad to help you.

AlienRapper: Hey! How come the other guy got brainliest answer?? Mine was obviously better than the other's! Hmmm... Anyway, Thanks for wasting my time!
karandada: so how many sigma and pie in acitanilaide.
karandada: sorry i have clicked it by mistake
AlienRapper: Y should I help you? You marked an answer of no significance!
