They don't have to depend on the moneylenders who give loans at a very high rate of interest .The government can do expenditure on digging of wells, canals and construction of a new dam which will help the farmers to irrigate their land . This will increase the yield per hectare .

To create employment opportunities in rural areas where a large number of people  may be employed . For example :- setting up a dal mill , industries that process vegetables and agricultural produce like potato , rice , wheat , tomato , fruits , etc.

If the government invests some money in transportation and storage of crops , or makes better rural roads so that mini - trucks reach everywhere.
