 \sqrt{5 -  log_{2}(x) }  = 3 -  log_{2}(x)

Here, we simply assume:


log_2 (x) = t

This simplifies the problem.


Also, we see that LHS is a square root.


Now, a square root always gives a positive value.

Like, √4 = 2 only.

√4 ≠ -2


Thus, RHS must also be a positive value.

This point will help us eliminate one solution.


Finally, x = 2 is the only valid solution.
