That depends on whether this is a theoretical question or not. If you want this for a practical application and your object isn’t too bulky, it’s surprisingly simple actually: assuming your object is flat-ish, just pick two arbitrary points somewhere near its edge and let it hang free, along with a pendulum that is hanging from the same spot. Draw a line along the pendulum, then do this again with your other pivotal point and voila, where your lines cross is the center of mass! This works for a non-flat object as well, however it will be a bit harder finding out where exactly your lines cross.

If you’re actually interested in the theory of this, you’ll have to look into tensors and the actual mass distribution but that’s no rocket science either really. We were taught how to do this in our first semester of physics.
