Electrode potential of electrode where reduction happens - electrode potential where oxidation happens.
if this value is less than o.3v, the reaction generally does not happen.
sometimes, there are exceptions, though. sometimes, it is said that even if electrode potential is greater than 0.3 v but the rate of reaction is very slow , the reaction does not happen.....
