Generally, through anatomical observation, benign tumors are encapsulated. ( surrounded by a capsule or membrane which is formed as a result of our body’s immune response,in order to avoid spreading to other tissues), they are non invasive( cannot metastasize - can’t spread to other areas of the body),they are slow growing and non-cancerous!

While, malignant tumors are non-capsulated, invasive ( metastatise to other areas of the body),fast growing and cancerous!
