Love and infatuation are both intense emotions that one feels for another person. These feelings are most often confused for each other by most people.

Infatuation  (also referred to as “lust”) is the state of being completely carried away by unreasoning passion or love; addictive love. It gives you goosebumps, fills your mind with wonderful daydreams and feel sexually  attracted to a person.  When you experience infatuation, your mind is consumed by thoughts of the other person. There is lack of commitment and more you think of a person as an object to achieve. It lacks sense of commitment.  Love may grow out of infatuation but usually infatuation is temporary and fades after some time. Unresolved infatuation often creates negative feelings such as anger, hatred, frustrations.

Love is a feeling of intense affection for another person. Love is unconditional care for a person. You care very strongly and very deeply about another person. Love generates positive feelings. There is a willingness to support a person, stand by this person in good times and bad, and you wish nothing more than to watch and help this person grow no matter what.
Many a time a person whom you love does not feel the same for you. A true lover accepts a person as s/he is and never puts conditions on him/her.

In infatuation, a person often reacts when other person denies your love, turn love into hatred and develop revenge. When a person doesn't stop loving despite a person who s/he loves reject.  A person remains a well-wisher and supporter throughout  his/her life. That is true love. Love never stops, rather it multiply each moment.
