Sodium Hydroxide: (NaOH)

1) IT is a strong base, as it produces OH- ion.

2) It turns red litmus blue.

3) It neutralizes the acid by neutralization reaction and form salt and water.

Hydrochloric Acid : ( HCl)

1) It is a strong acid, as it produces H+ ion.

2) It turns blue litmus red.

3) It neutralizes the base by neutralization reaction and form salt and water.
