How to divide decimals ?​

Multiply the divisor by as many 10’s as necessary until we get a whole number. Remember to multiply the dividend by the same number of 10’s.

1. If the divisor is not a whole number, move the decimal point to the right to make it a whole number and move the decimal point in dividend the same number of places.
2. Keep dividing until the answer repeats.
3. Put decimal point directly above the decimal point in the dividend.
4. Multiply the quotient by the divisor to check the answer
