Solution:

0.4 bar + 0.45 but 5 has bar (This means that the digit after the decimal point, that is, 5 is only being repeated. The digit 4 is not being repeated since only 5 has a bar on it)

=) 0.8999...
=) 0.89 with bar only on 9 (The bar will be only on 9 because after the decimal point only the digit 9 is being repeated and 8 is not being repeated)
