Therefore, angle OBC = 180 - 2y ( Angle Sum Property )

angle ABO + angle OBC = 180
z + 180- 2y = 180
z - 2y = 0
z = 2y
Now,
angle AOD = x = angle OAB + angle BCO ( External Angle of a triangel )
thus, x = y + z
Also z = 2y
Thus,
x = y + 2y = 3y
