»Here's the general rule for rounding:

✔If the number you are rounding is followed by 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, round the number up.

★ Example: 38 rounded to the nearest ten is 40.

✔If the number you are rounding is followed by 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, round the number down.

★ Example: 33 rounded to the nearest ten is 30.

Answer:

If the ones place of a number is between 0-4 you take it nearest to the lesser tens. Eg: 33 is rounded of to 30 OR 74 is rounded of to 70.

Similarly if the ones place of a number is between 5-9 then you take it nearest to the greater tens. Eg: 55 is rounded nearest to 60 OR 27 is rounded nearest to 30.
