QGP: Nice Answer Brother, But you have formed the second equation wrong
QGP: After 10 years, ages will be (x+10) and (y+10)
QGP: By mistake you took (x+5) and (y+5)

Hey Sowmiya,

Here, we can solve the question like this:

Let Present Age of Nuri = x
and Present Age of Sonu = y

Five years ago,

Age of Nuri = x - 5
Age of Sonu = y - 5

At that time, Age of Nuri was thrice that of Sonu. So we have:

x - 5 = 3(y - 5)
So, x - 5 = 3y - 15
So, x = 3y - 10 -----(1)

After Ten Years,

Age of Nuri = x + 10
Age of Sonu = y + 10

At that time, age of Nuri is twice that of Sonu. So we have:

x + 10 = 2(y + 10)
So, x + 10 = 2y + 20
So, x = 2y + 10

Putting x = 3y - 10 from equation (1)
We have:

3y - 10 = 2y + 10
So, y = 20

Put this in (1)
x = 3y - 10
So, x = 60 - 10
So, x = 50

Thus, we have our answers:

Present Age of Nuri = 50 years
Present Age of Sonu = 20 years

Hope this helps
