How to express work done by conservative force in general?

The work done by the conservative force does not depend on the path. The work done depends only on the initial and final position of the body. Hence, if the initial and final positions are fixed then it does not matter what path the body takes to reach the final point from the initial point, the work done by the conservative force will always be same. An example of conservative force is gravitational force. Its work done does not depend on the path, it just depend on the change in the height.
