A actually stands for assumed mean. So, you can assume any value of x as A, and then you can proceed with the calculations.

yeah there's no particular formula to find A. Because A is an assumption that we make. We generally take a random central value of x and we assume it as A and we proceed with the calculations. The formula that I've written is for the Shortcut Method for evaluation of mean.
