Let me tell u a simple method. Find a perfect square between the squares of the given irrationals, i.e., 2 and 7. It's seen that 4 is between 2 and 7, so that the square root of 4, i.e., 2, will be between the square roots of 2 and 7. So 2 is a number. That's all!!!
