By divide the shape into smaller shapes which you do have the formula for. Then you find the area of all of the smaller shapes and add all of your areas together.

Answer:

You must divide the Irregular shape into various other smaller shapes, such that we know atleast the lengths of each side...for example ;

  • A petagon can be divided into 3 triangles

  • A quadrilateral can be divided into 2 triangles

And we know how to calculate area of triangle, it is either half the base times height or we csn calculate using the heron's formula.

Similarly, we can calculate the areas of the smaller figures, such that there are no such spaces left containing area of the figure. And at the most, we must add the area of the figures to obtain the area of adjoining figure, i.e., The irregular figure.
