Heya..

Since opposite sides are equal..

Hence quadrilateral is a parallelogram.

And diagonal separate it into two triangles of equal areas.

Since Area of Triangle = 1/2 * b * h

= 1/2 * 2cm * 8cm

= 8 cm^2

Hence Area of quadrilateral = 2* 8 cm^2

= 16 cm^2
