For acids equivalent weight=molecular weight/basecity

ex:for HCL equivalent weight is

35.5/1=35.5

For bases equivalent weight=molecular weight/acidity

ex:for NA2CO3 equivalent weight is

106/2=53.

I hope this answer will helps you

Heya!!

________________________♥·♥

EQUIVALENT MASS =

MOLAR MASS/ n factor

n factor is also known as valency factor

¤ for elements n - factor = VALENCY

E of O= 16/2=8g

¤ For acids n factor

= basicity
= Number of replaceable H+

Ex- H3PO4------;--;> 3H+ + PO4^3-

¤ far Bases , n factor is

= Acidity
= number of replaceable OH-

ex - Ca (OH) 2----------Ca2+ + 2OH-

*here, n factor is 2

hope it helps! !
