Exponential function:  e^x.
e^x = 1+x+\frac{x^2}{2!}+\frac{x^3}{x!}+ .....
Euler's e = 2.718......
    It is an irrational number.

e is defined as :   Limit as n tends to 0,  (1 + x * n)^(1/n)

e can be found also as :
   e = 1+ 1 + 1/2! + 1/3! + 1/4! + 1/5! + 1/5! + 1/6! + ......

e^x = 1 + x + x²/2! + x³/3! + .....

It is perhaps not possible to calculate the values of e^x without using a scientific calculator.

But if you are solving an algebraic equation, perhaps you could use logarithms and natural logarithm tables..

e^x = 1+ x + \frac{x^2}{2!}+\frac{x^3}{3!}+....
