Limiting reagent is the reactant which totally gets consumed in the reaction or reactant which is available in lesser amount.
Consider a reaction
N2+3 H2 ------------> 2NH3
If it is given that we have 100 mole of H2 and 200 moles of N2 then N2 will act as limiting reagent.
