1.. add up all the numbers
2.divide it by the total numbers present
e.g. 3,9,1,4,5,10
3+9+1+4+5+10
=32
=32÷6
=5.33

the first is direct method
mean = fixi/fi
where fi is the. total frequency and fixi is the sum of product of frequency and xi of the given class.
