how to find out that if the real roots of the quadratic equation exists or not?

Kindly help its urgent.........

if delta I.e d = b^-4ac is less than 0 than roots does not exist and if it is greater or equal than roots exis

As you know, a quadratic equation is in the form of 
                                                                      ax2+bx+c=0
              only if the discriminant i.e. b2-4ac =0
                                  the quadratic equation has real roots.
