The largest number in the ration refers to the largest angle..
For example, 1 : 2 is a ratio of two angles... And given these are complementary angles...
Hence..
1x + 2x = 90
3x = 90
x = 90 / 3
x = 30
Therefore... the first angle is 30` and the second angle is 60`

You can use the Law of Sines to find the ratio of the sines of your two angles:
a/sinA=b/sinB=c/sinC=D
