suppose u got 40 marks out of 200 marks then ur percentage will be = 40 × 100 /200
= 20 %

to find percentage you have to multiply the value with 100 of which you want to find the %. eg.like you got 38 marks out of 40 in your English subject then its % will be = 38*100/40=95%.
