Then the perimeter of the square is " 4a"

For example :

Q. Find the perimeter of a square whose side is 2 cm.

Ans :
Side , a = 2 cm

Perimeter = 4a = 4 × 2 = 8 cm

sum of all sides of a square = side + side + side + side= 4 x side
for example side of square = 7 cm
its perimeter = 4 x 7 =28 cm
