First take a no. ,say 144.
Then do prime factorisation with the no.
We get 144 = 2*2*2*2*3*3
Then pair them, so, (2*2)*(2*2)*(3*3)
Take out a no. from each pair that is, 2*2*3
so, the answer is 2*2*3=12

SQUARE ROOT=>
(1)By prime factorization
Step1-Resolve the given no. into prime factors.(say 576)
Step2-make pairs of similar factors( 576=2×2×2×2×2×2×3×3)
Step3-the product of prime factors,chosen one out of pair,gives the square root of the given no.(576=2×2×2×3=>square root of 576=24)
(2)by divison method
Step1-mark off the digits in pairs starting with the units digit.Each paor and remaining one digit(if any)is called a period.
Step2-think of the largest whose square is equal to or just less than the first period.take this no. as the divisor as well as quotient.
Step3-subtract the product of divisor and quotient from first period and bring down the nxt period to the right of the remainder.This becomes the new dividend.
Step4-Now,new divisor is obtained by taking twice the quotient and annexing with it a suitable digit which is also taken as the nxt digit of the quotient ,chosen in sucb a way that the product of the new divisor and this digit is equal to or just less than the dividend.
Step5-Repeat steps 2,3and 4 times till all the periods have been taken up. Now ,the quotient so obtained is the required square root of the given no.
