How to find surface area of a rectangular prism?

rectangular prism means it's a cuboid, many believe that prism is only of one shape but prism is a polyhedron whose top and base have same shape and area and whose side edges are parallel, therefore cuboid is also a prism.

surface area means TSA and TSA of cuboid is

=2(lb+bh+lh)

let me give u an example.

the length, breadth and height of the cuboid be 5cm, 4cm and 4.5cm respectively.

TSA of the cuboid=2(lb+bh+lh)

=2{(5×4)+(4×4.5)+(5 ×4.5)}

=2(20+18+22.5)

=2×60.5

=121cm²

hence, the surface area (TSA) of the this cuboid is 122cm².
