let perimeter be x then,

$x = 2\pi \: r$

we get,

$r = \frac{x}{2\pi}$

now putting value the of r in the formula,

$= \pi \: {r}^{2}$

we get,

$\pi \: \times \frac{x}{2x} \times \frac{x}{2x}$

therefore ,

$area = \frac{ {x}^{2} }{2 {x}^{2} }$
