length of median in an equateral triangle is equal to the height of triangle

that is
  \sqrt{ \frac{3}{4} } {a}^{2}

If a median is drawn in a triangle than it cuts the triangle into two equal parts having the same areas. Then we can easily find the perpendicular by using Pythagoras theorem of any of the two right triangles drawn.In this way we can easily find the median.
