OK, so there are 2 formulae for this,

If the total number of digits in the number are odd, then the formula will be

n+1/2, n is no. of digits

Next if the total number of digits in the number are even, then the formula is simple n/2

For example:-

25600

n=5

n+1/2= 5+1/2 = 6/2 = 3

So square root of 25600 will have 3 digits
