Answer:

8.472

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the given points be A(4,7), B(3,5) and C(5,5).

Distance formula:

Let the length of the sides be d₁,d₂,d₃

(i) AB:

d₁ = √(x₂ - x₁)² + (y₂ - y₁)²

  = √(3 - 4)² + (5 - 7)²

  = √(-1)² + (-2)²

  = √1 + 4

  = √5

  = 2.236

(ii) BC:

d₂ = √(5 - 3)² + (5 - 5)²

    = √2² + 0

    = 4

    = 2.

(iii) AC:

d₃ = √(5 - 4)² + (5 - 7)²

    = √(-1)² + (-2)²

    = √5

    = 2.236

Perimeter of triangle = d₁ + d₂ + d₃

                                   = 2.236 + 4 + 2.236

                                   = 8.472.

alishbahusain: isn't it x1 - x2 ?
siddhartharao77: No!
alishbahusain: why not?
siddhartharao77: (x2 - x1) is the formula
alishbahusain: ok
