How to find the type of mirror if matbifucation is given

if the magnification is negative then it is a convex mirror if it is positive then it is concave

svsriharsha: i hope if magnification is negative then real image will form so concave mirror. and if magnification is positive then virtual image will form so convex mirror.

magnification m is positive   =>  convex mirror (image is virtual and diminished)

magnification m is negative   =>  concave mirror because image is real (except in the case of object between F and P image is virtual and enlarged)

magnification m = +1   =>  plane mirror as image is virtual.
