with the help of atomic number we will find the electronic configuration then with the help of electronic configuration we will be ale to know the number of electron in last shell by which we can make out the valency of the electron.

prakriti27: u can't see another answer on this pg?
prakriti27: then refresh ur pg u will se
prakriti27: *see
singhyash20001: cn you explain me about electronic configuration
prakriti27: electronic configuration is the method in which we put electrons in shells
prakriti27: according to the order
prakriti27: like in K shell
prakriti27: we put 2 electrons
prakriti27: then in L we put 8
prakriti27: then in M we put 18

it is very easy and simple
1st point no of electrons in the last shell should be  8
use the formula 2n*n where n is the number of shells k,l,m etc
this formula is used to find the no of electrons that can be accommodated in a shell
for example if atomic number of an element is 34

now for first shell=2*1*1=2
for 2nd shell2*2*2=8
for third shell2*3*3=18
now by adding  them we get 26 and
34-26=6
and we know that 8 electrons should be there in the lass shell 6-8=-2
hence valency is -2

singhyash20001: cn you explain me about electronic configuration
hariiyengar39: in chemistry electron configuration is the distribution f electrons of an atom or molecule in molecular arbitals...for exmaple electronic coniguration of neon is 1s^2 2s^2 2p^6
singhyash20001: im in 8th explain alittle easily and briefly
prakriti27: y r u telling him of 11th
prakriti27: and its subsell
prakriti27: *subshell
singhyash20001: is anyone there to answer me!!!!!????????????
hariiyengar39: we can simply say that electronic configuration is the arranging of electrons in orbitals orbitals are said as 1,2,3,4,................... ork ,l m,n etc
