what no. of SO4 u want to Now

SO4 contains the elements sulfur (S—1 atom) and oxygen (O—4 atoms)
atomic no. of S - 16 and O - 8
The no. of electron in SO4 = 16×1 + 8 × 4 = 48

or for Oxidation number
As you know the valency of oxygen is 2 : outermost orbit contains 6 electrons so valency = 6-8= -2
in SO4 -2 it has 2 negative charge so:
lets suppose O.N of S be x,
x + 4*(-2) = -2
x = -2 + 8
x= +6

moses12: s have 1 atom and o have 4 atom. yeh apko kaise pata chala
KuldeepPardhot: because SO4 contain S + O4
KuldeepPardhot: S have single atom and Oxygen have 4
KuldeepPardhot: example, KNO3, contains the elements potassium (K—1 atom), nitrogen (N—1 atom) and oxygen (O—3 atoms)
KuldeepPardhot: Waise hi Alag alag krke dekhna hota h S single h toh uske pass 1 hai or O ka pass 4
