how to find where a sentence are simple, complex or compound.

A simple sentence is just simple where no conjunctions are used
Eg.it is raining today

A compound sentence is a sentence where 2 phrases are joined by a conjunction but both the phrases are independent
eg. ram and shyam are brothers
here and is conjunction

A complex sentence is sentence where 2 phrases r joined by a conjunction where 1st phrase is dependent on 2nd
eg.Sakshi didn't come school because she was ill
